We are proposing to make changes to the church building, with the objectives of improving the facilities for use by the church and community. The proposals have two major aspects, involving changes to the interior of the existing building, and addition of extensions to the building to provide new facilities.
The changes to the interior of the building aim to create a more flexible space for worship and other activities, and will entail creation of a new dais at the front of the nave, improvements to the floor and panelling, and other changes to the furniture.
The new extensions proposed include additional meeting rooms, kitchen and toilets, enabling the church to provide improved facilities for existing and new meetings, and to enhance our contribution to the Wickersley community.
At present these proposals are still under consultation, and final approval has not yet been given. Plans and models illustrating the proposals will be on display in Wickersley Library from 10th-24th April, and comments from the community will be invited. The picture above shows a model of the church building with the proposed extensions.
